Liselund Garden is a romantic landscape garden at Møns Klint in Denmark, created in 1795 and inspired by European garden ideals of the time. It was designed by its owners, Lisa and Antoine de la Calmette, who also owned Marienborg Manor on the island. Conceived as a love gift from Antoine to Lisa, the garden was meant as a poetic retreat shaped by the romantic spirit of the era. Its construction took more than ten years, as the site originally consisted of wetland and forest, making the terrain particularly challenging to transform.

Through brief conversations with gardeners and guides who work in Liselund Garden today, the video opens up their personal perspectives on the landscape and its beauty. These encounters reveal new angles on the garden and gently expand the traditional narrative of the site.

The video was recorded during a 12-hour walk through Liselund Have. Vestergaard’s route emerged organically along the way, as each person she met directed her to the place they consider the most beautiful in the garden.
